DAVID KENNEDY (Former KTP Associate)

Winner of a Leadership of Tomorrow Award 2009

On Thursday 5th March 2009, David Kennedy, an Agility Centre Associate within the Management School won a “Leadership of Tomorrow” award based on his work within Hi-Tech Steel Services located in Bold St. Helens. David was employed on a Knowledge Transfer Partnership scheme supervised by Dr Jenny Poolton.

David’s remit was to develop new markets and new products for the company. Bob Machin Sales Director commented: “…At first I was a bit sceptical as to what could be achieved but I was really blown away by David’s approach. He is the best thing that has ever happened for us as a company”. After completion of the project David was offered the role of Marketing Executive which he has accepted. 

Graham Spittle, Chairman of the Technology Strategy Board and IBM’s Vice President of Software for the UK, Ireland and South Africa presented David with the award, one of only six Leadership awards presented this year.
