Q. What grant assistance is available for my business?

A. Grants are often made available at short notice. The areas we can help you with depend on the type of grant that is available. However, these grants are normally restricted to small firms (i.e. less than 250 employees)

Q. How can I guarantee confidentiality if I allow you into my company?

A. At the outset of a project we offer companies the opportunity to sign a confidentiality or non-disclosure agreement. This agreement is binding and is expected to be signed both by the academic and the company involved.

Q. How I will benefit from a student project?

A. MSc students become available during the summer months. The placement last between 10 and 12 weeks and the project is overseen by an academic supervisor. Download a summary document of the process here.

Q. What is a KTP and how can it benefit my business?

A. The Knowledge Transfer Partnership or KTP is a scheme funded by the UK Government to assist business development and growth. Any participating firm pays 40% of the total cost whereas small firms pay only 30% of total costs.

Q. Can you help me with anything at all related to my business?

A. It's a fact that we can't help you with everything. However, it's likely that someone in the University has the type of expertise you might require. It costs nothing to inquire so you should contact us.
